The 14th UEFA European Under-19 Championship began in Greece on Monday, when the hosts took on Ukraine and Austria meeting two-time winners France. Xanthi FC playmaker Petros Orfanidis scored the first goal of U19 EURO as hosts Greece opened with a victory against Ukraine in Group A. France midfielder Alexis Blin scored the only goal in Katerini as the two-time champions made a winning start to Group A.
