In one of this weekend's stand-out Barclays Premier League fixtures, Manchester United host Manchester City in a cross-city rivalry that has transformed into a duel between two regular title contenders in recent years. Both clubs will be looking to strengthen their respective challenges at Old Trafford on Sunday. Since the start of the BPL in
the 1992/93 season, no United player has scored as many goals in the Manchester derby as Wayne Rooney. The striker has netted eight times in 19 appearances. Although Sergio Aguero sits behind Rooney with seven derby goals, the Argentinian's record looks far more impressive considering he has played seven times against United in the Barclays Premier League. City left Old Trafford as 6-1 victors in October 2011. Mario Balotelli revealed his "Why Always Me?" t-shirt after opening the scoring. The Italian doubled City's lead in the second half as the visitors romped to victory, taking advantage of Jonny Evans' 47th-minute red card.
