The highlight competitions of the 2014-15 biathlon season started yesterday in Kontiolahti. IBU World Championships medals are highly prized awards, second only to those awarded at the Olympic Winter Games. There are eleven Championships competitions between yesterday and Sunday March 15; three relay titles and eight individual titles, four each for men and women. The venue is prepared and the athletes are eagerly awaiting the first competitions. So sharpen your sights, take your skies, focus and hope that everything will go as planned.
