Europa League TOP16, 1st leg matches

The groupe matches are over and we have our TOP16 teams - the fun is over and playoffs are here. The stage is set - 8 matches on the 12th of March and 8 matches on the 19th of March. After that we have our quater-finalists. So get ready!
- The sides are meeting for the first time in UEFA competition.
- Wolfsburg are yet to win in three games against Italian sides (D1 L2), with that lone draw a 2-2 against Inter's neighbours AC Milan.
- Inter have won only once in their last six games in Germany, but it was a memorable success, their 3-2 victory at FC Bayern München in the 2010/11 UEFA Champions League round of 16.
- The sides are meeting for the first time in UEFA competition, but have come together in 33 competitive games in Spain.
- Villarreal are unbeaten in four European games, and have not lost at home in five games this season (W4 D1) scoring 16 times in the process.
- Villarreal are through to the round of 16 for the first time since 2010/11 when they made it as far as the semi-finals.
