EuroBasket 2015 group matches continue

Tony Parker became the all-time leading scorer in EuroBasket Final Rounds as he led France to victory against Poland and the Final Phase of the 2015 edition in Montpellier on Monday. The France guard needed one more point to surpass Nikos Galis' total of 1,030, which he tied in Sunday's 81-54 defeat of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Elsewhere in Group A, Finland got off the mark with an 81-79 win against Russia before Bosnia and Herzegovina rallied from 16 points down to stun Israel 86-84 in overtime and claim their first victory. Belgium pulled off one of the shocks of the competition in Riga when Matt Lojeski's tip-in beat the buzzer and inflicted a 76-74 defeat on Group D favourites Lithuania. Latvia then used a strong second-quarter sequence to take control of their game against Czech Republic before going on to triumph 72-65 and leave four teams tied on 2-1 records. And there was more history in Riga as Gregor Arbet scored 26 points to help inspire Estonia to a 78-71 win against Ukraine, their first EuroBasket finals success in 22 years.
